Your book will be officially registered with the U.S. copyright office, issued a copyright number, and further protected under copyright law. When your book is officially registered with the copyright office, you will have the right to seek damages if a party uses your work without your permission.

Once published, two printed copies of your book are sent to the U.S. federal copyright office in Washington, D.C. While the registration number is not printed in the book, you will receive a certificate of registration after the process is completed. The process typically takes 6 to 12 months to complete.
